Nkechi Akunyili

Nkechi Akunyili, is a business leader with a flair and passion for creating and enabling businesses that will drive development in Africa. In the past ten (10) years, she has championed business and market developments within the West African region, and it is with this passion that she envisioned and birthed Access View Africa.

An astute Finance Professional with over twenty (20) years in the banking industry, her experience cuts across Treasury and Capital Risk Management, Business Development (retail and wholesale with a focus on growing the treasury business), Investment Banking, Portfolio Management, Project Finance, Investment Analysis and Corporate Finance. 

Her last role before leaving the banking sector to pursue her passion to enable impact businesses was as the Regional Treasurer for West Africa at one of the leading banks in the region, overseeing and growing its treasury business of six (6) subsidiaries.

Nkechi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and a Master of Science degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. She is a member of the ACI Financial Markets Association (ACI FMA). 

She believes that the catalyst for the growth and development of Africa lies within its domestic market and expresses this as an advocate for the improvement and scaling of African businesses to achieve global relevance, especially in the Agribusiness and all impact sectors.
